Our Roadtrek at Mt. Rainier in Washington
Welcome to our Roadtrek site. I established this site to make available our experiences with our 2003 Roadtrek 190 Versatile. Hopefully this will help those trying to decide whether a Roadtrek is right for them, and pass along some lessons we learned to other Trekers. While this site concentrates on the 2003 190V (built on 2003 Chevy Express van chassis), much pertains to other Roadtrek models. Feel free to offer any comments or suggestions. We are still learning and all content on this site just represents our opinions, not necessarily fact. This site also is a work in progress. Please check back for additions, corrections, etc.
Note that as of 2023 we still own our 2003 Roadtrek. Due to changing life conditions and priorities, we don't get to use it as much as we'd like. It still looks like it's new, as we have always kept it in enclosed storage when not being used.
Our bottom line: We LOVE our Roadtrek!

Important Safety Note: I describe several modifications to my Roadtrek that are potentially dangerous to perform for anyone not familiar with electrical systems and 120V wiring. If you are not sure of what you are doing, then DON'T DO IT until you get the appropriate expert help. Any modifications you undertake are at your own risk. Please follow all recommended safety precautions when using your tools and always wear safety glasses. (Take it from my personal experience).
